Except for the December Annual Party, the monthly meetings of the Houston Rose Society begin at 7:30 pm at the Houston Garden Center in Hermann Park. The December meeting time and place is announced in the November Rose Ette.

The Houston Garden Center is located just inside Hermann Park, on its north side. It is basically north and across the way from the Miller Outdoor Theatre and just east of the Museum of Natural Science. To assist in your arrival, the following directions are given. Please be careful of the light rail trains! Admission to the meetings is free. The public is welcome. There is plenty of free parking.
From US Highway 59, Southbound:
Just south of Highway 288, take the Fannin Street exit. Travel southward about 10 blocks to Binz Street. Turn left on Binz two blocks to Caroline Street. Turn right on Caroline, and go into Hermann Park until Caroline ends. Turn left, and take another left into the Houston Garden Center parking lot. About 100 yards into the parking lot you will see the Main Building on your left. It is labeled "Houston Garden Center." That is where we meet. Park and come on in.
From US Highway 59, Northbound:
Travel northbound past the construction at Spur 527, and take the right-hand Main Street exit. Go straight through the traffic signal at Main Street and turn right onto Fannin Street. Travel about 12 blocks to Binz Street. Turn left on Binz two blocks to Caroline Street. Turn right on Caroline, and go into Hermann Park until Caroline ends. Turn left, and take another left into the Houston Garden Center parking lot. About 100 yards into the parking lot you will see the Main Building on your left. It is labeled "Houston Garden Center." That is where we meet. Park and come on in.
Directions for those coming from Interstate 10
1a. If you are going eastbound on I 10 take the Studemont Exit (No. 767A). Stay on the feeder road until you come to the first light. That is Studemont. Go right on Studemont (southbound).
1b. If you are going westbound on I 10 take the Heights/Yale/Studemont exit (No. 766) and go to the light for Heights and do a U turn under the freeway. You are now going eastbound on the feeder. Stay on the feeder road until you come to the first light. That is Studemont. Go right on Studemont (southbound).
2. Stay on Studemont for approximately four miles. During the four miles the street will change names from Studemont to Montrose. Stop lights you will go through include (in order) Center Street, Washington Avenue, Allen Parkway, Dallas, West Gray, Westheimer, Hawthorne, West Alabama, Richmond and Banks.
3. The next stop light will be for Bissonnet. You will go to the left (eastbound). You will go through the stop lights for Main Street, Fannin and San Jacinto. (Bissonnet changes names to Binz at Main Street.)
4. You will come to a stop sign at Caroline. Take a right (southbound). Go to the third stop sign where Caroline dead ends into Hermann Loop Drive. (The Museum of Natural Sciences will be the building on your right.)
5. Take a left (eastbound) and a short distance later you will take another left (northbound) into the parking lot for the Garden Center. About 100 yards into the parking lot you will see the Main Building on your left. It is labeled "Houston Garden Center." That is where we meet. Park and come on in.
